Italy pays close attention to the developments in Kyrgyzstan following the presidential elections

Italy is closely monitoring developments in Kyrgyzstan following last Sunday’s presidential elections and hopes for an immediate end to the violence in the country and the resumption of a constructive internal political dialogue following the cancellation of the vote.

We hope that the events in progress will not interrupt the demanding path of rapprochement to democratic standards undertaken long ago in the country.
