Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio received at the Foreign Ministry the Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration and responsible for the negotiations on the Donbass, Andrii Yermak, and the Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister for Euro-Atlantic Integration, Olga Stefanishyna.
The cordial meeting focused on the relaunch of the Donbass peace process. Minister Di Maio, recalling his support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, expressed his appreciation for the general holding of the ceasefire, hoping for positive developments in the negotiations and encouraging a sustainable solution in line with the Minsk agreements.
The talks also discussed the ongoing strengthening of bilateral relations, with particular attention to economic and trade cooperation, and the forthcoming meeting of the Italian-Ukrainian Council for Economic, Industrial and Financial Cooperation.
