Italy welcomes the start in Geneva of the fourth round of negotiations of the Joint Military Commission (JMC 5 + 5) which, under the mediation of the Acting Special Representative of the Secretary General, Stephanie Williams, gathers for the first time the delegations of the two sides with a view to reaching an agreement for a lasting and sustainable ceasefire in Libya. This is an important contribution in the direction of a political solution to the Libyan crisis which Italy strongly supports.
