Deputy Minister Manlio Di Stefano spoke this morning at the opening of the EIMA Digital Preview, organised by FederUnacoma (Federazione Nazionale Costruttori Macchine per l’Agricoltura), the National Federation of Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers. This is Italy’s number one trade fair for agricultural machinery, as well as the first event in the industry, worldwide, to be held entirely on a digital platform.
“Agricultural engineering companies – the Deputy Minister said – are not merely the expression of a manufacturing sector, they form a system that involves a complete supply chain, at the forefront of the application of new technologies and innovative solutions”.
In 2019, 65% of all agricultural machinery manufactured in Italy was exported to over 180 countries, with a turnover of 5.2 billion Euros (source: ICE Agency based on FederUnacoma data).
“At a time when trade is complicated due to the pandemic, product quality and reliability are key values for maintaining and strengthening our export capacity. We will remain at your side, along with our country’s entire economic system, to consolidate this position” – the Deputy Minister concluded.
