Italy to chair the OECD Ministerial Council in 2022

Italy will lead the OECD in 2022. The member countries of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development have designated Italy to chair the next meeting of the OECD Ministerial Council. Italy will lead the reflection among the 38 member countries of the organisation – bringing together the most advanced market economies on the planet – on the main global challenges and the most appropriate lines of action to address them. After the significant results obtained with the G20 Presidency and the partnership with the United Kingdom for COP26, Italy has consolidated its role as a protagonist on the international scene.

Twelve years after the last Italian Presidency, we are picking up the baton from the United States, which will chair the OECD Ministerial Council in 2021. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses great satisfaction with this result, which is the result of the commitment of the Italian diplomatic network.
