The Farnesina Announces: Italy is supplying medical equipment to Libya to aid in fighting COVID-19

A humanitarian shipment of more than 10 tons of medical equipment (ventilators, surgical masks and protective garments) reached the port of Tripoli on December 14 to assist that country in its battle against COVID-19. The material was made available by the support structure to the extraordinary Commissioner for the COVID-19 emergency, Gen. Francesco Paolo Figliuolo and by Italian Cooperation, departing from the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot (UNHRD) in Brindisi. The supply of humanitarian materials will be used by the Libyan Health Ministry in its efforts to prevent the spread of the virus.
