Italy strongly condemns the recent escalation of ballistic missiles launches by the DPRK, including the one on October 4th over Japan. We express full solidarity with Japan and the Republic of Korea.
We reiterate our urgent and strong call on the DPRK to abandon its weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile programs in a complete, verifiable and irreversible manner and to fully comply with all legal obligations arising from the relevant Security Council resolutions.
Italy remains strongly committed to working with all partners and allies towards the goal of peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula and to upholding the rules-based international order.
