The Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Maria Tripodi, today carried out a mission to the Principality of Monaco for institutional meetings with various Monegasque authorities and to attend the Monaco Women Forum.
The Undersecretary’s talks with the Heads of the Foreign Affairs Department, the Cultural Affairs Directorate, Prince Albert II’s Chief of Staff, the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, and the National Council enabled her to review a series of bilateral issues, such as cultural cooperation and the dissemination of the Italian language, as well as issues related to the large Italian community living in the Principality, rail transport, and the agreement on telework for the numerous Italian cross-border workers. Rome’s candidacy to host Expo2030 was also addressed.
Finally, the Undersecretary took part – in the presence of Prince Albert II – in the closing event of the Monaco Women Forum, an initiative to promote the role of women with the Prince awarding the Monte-Carlo Woman of the Year Award to women who have distinguished themselves for actions having a particular impact on the economy and society.
