The Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will speak today at the “Festa della Musica”, an initiative promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation as part of the “Roots Tourism” NRRP programme, financed by the European Union.
The event, which will take place on the square in front of the Farnesina, will see the participation of 16 ensembles including bands, choirs and folk groups, each from a different region of Italy and belonging to the municipalities that have joined the “Roots Tourism” project. The same event will take place simultaneously in each of the municipalities represented.
The parade will start at 5:30 p.m., with the Banner of each Municipality escorted by the Local Police, followed by its Mayor and a Delegation of Municipal Councillors. Last to parade will be the Fanfara dei Bersaglieri.
The musical groups will perform in front of the institutional audience, performing the Italian Anthem and the “Ode to Joy” and, at the end of the event, the March “Al Sindaco”.
Political authorities, the Ambassadors of the countries represented in the General Council of Italians Abroad (Consiglio Generale degli Italiani all’Estero, CGIE), the 63 members of the CGIE and the Members of Parliament elected abroad will also be present.
