Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani is in Luxembourg to attend the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union.
The first item on the agenda of the Council, chaired by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, is the crisis in the Russian Federation, regarding which Minister Tajani had repeated talks with his G7 counterparts.
The 27 Ministers of Foreign Affairs will discuss the situation in Ukraine and the general outlook concerning Russia’s aggression against the country, discussing the issue also with Minister of Foreign Affairs Kuleba, who will be in attendance from Kiev.
They will then exchange views on relations between the EU and Latin America and the Caribbean, in preparation for the EU-CELAC Summit of Heads of State and Government scheduled to take place in Brussels on 17-18 July.
The Council will then move on to the main current issues, in particular the updates on the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo, the situation in Tunisia, and in Nagorno-Karabakh.
