This morning, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, is on a mission to Brussels today to represent Italy at the Global Gateway Forum, an initiative promoted by the European Commission.
The Global Gateway forum brings together governments, the private sector, civil society, financial institutions and international organisations to discuss the EU strategy to promote smart, clean and secure connections in the digital, energy and transport sectors, and to strengthen health, education and research systems worldwide.
On the sidelines of the event, the Deputy Prime Minister will meet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, with whom he will address, in particular, the topics of the support to the Alliance for Ukraine and the ongoing reflection on the relaunch of NATO in the southern flank.
Tajani will also attend the EPP Statutory Summit during which he will have meetings with a number of European leaders to discuss the situation in the Middle East.
