Upon Prime Minister’s instructions, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Hon. Antonio Tajani, arrived in Berlin this morning to attend the 10th “Berlin Process” Summit on the Western Balkans.

The Summit, chaired by Chancellor Scholz, is attended by the six countries of the Western Balkans (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia), together with Austria, Croatia, France, Slovenia, Poland, Greece and Bulgaria – as well as the United Kingdom and the European institutions, including the current Hungarian rotating EU Presidency.

The works include a speech by the Minister in the session on the green agenda, connectivity and energy – in which Minister Tajani will highlight the role played by Italian companies in the region, also in view of the development of  strategic infrastructure and local energy transition – and a debate with representatives of the Youth Forum and civil society.

On the sidelines of the Summit, Minister Tajani will have meetings with the Serbian Prime Minister, Milos Vučević; the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti; the Austrian Minister for European Affairs, Karoline Edtstadler; and the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Odile Renaud-Basso.
