The Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Maria Tripodi, participated in Milan, on behalf of Minister Tajani, in the conclusion of the States General of Diplomacy 2024 – XVII Conference of Italian Ambassadors.
This morning, the Undersecretary chaired the event “Finance and Diplomacy at the service of the growth of the Italian System”, organised at Palazzo Mezzanotte with the participation of the CEO of Borsa Italiana Fabrizio Testa, aimed at strengthening relations between our Ambassadors and representatives of Piazza Affari to enhance the role of the Italian capital market in attracting new investments from abroad.
The Undersecretary highlighted the Government’s strong commitment: “We are at Borsa Italiana because we are convinced that finance and the Diplomacy of Growth are natural allies. The objectives are clear: to promote the internationalisation of our entrepreneurial system, strengthening the presence of Italian companies on foreign markets, and to contribute at the same time to the influx of foreign capital into Italy, in particular institutional investors.”
Subsequently, Tripodi spoke at the Triennale di Milano at the session “Dialogues on Cultural Diplomacy”, together with President Stefano Boeri. The Undersecretary recalled how Italian culture and excellence are now universally synonymous. “This is also why the Italian Foreign Ministry strongly supports the Triennale for the success of the next International Exhibition in 2025, dedicated to the theme of inequality, on which the next edition of the Italian Design Day will also focus”.
