Rome. Minister Tajani at the Foreign Ministry for an event to present the Jubilee of Bands and Popular Music

Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani opens today at the Foreign Ministry an event to present the “Jubilee of Bands and Popular Music” scheduled for 10-11 May.

The Jubilee of Bands and Popular Music will see the involvement of all Italy’s municipalities, especially those that have joined the “Roots Tourism”, a project included in the NRRP that promotes tourism for Italians and Italian nationals living abroad. Thanks to the participation of mayors from all over the country, the Jubilee of Bands and Popular Music will also anticipate the other major jubilee event dedicated to the Institutions, scheduled for 20 June.

The Jubilee event in May will also be an important opportunity for Italy to celebrate and show the world the richness of Italy’s local traditions. To this end, the Foreign Ministry has made its diplomatic-consular network available to facilitate the collection of registrations from abroad. In May 2024, the Foreign Ministry set up the “National and International Table for the Enhancement of Popular and Amateur Music”, which supports and coordinates such activities in Italy and abroad, in order to protect, enhance and promote the musical cultural heritage of the territories.

The event will also be attended by the Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelisation, Mons. Rino Fisichella, the President of the National and International Table for the Enhancement of Popular and Amateur Music, Antonio Corsi, the Mayor of Numana, Gianluigi Tombolini, and the Ecclesiastical Counsellor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mons. Marco Malizia.
