The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, met today at the Foreign Ministry with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Enterprise and Industry of Sweden, Ebba Busch.
During the cordial meeting, Ministers Tajani and Busch took stock of the excellent bilateral Italian-Swedish relations and expressed their common will to further strengthen dialogue between the two countries, starting from the commercial sphere. Foreign Minister Tajani expressed particular appreciation for the considerable flow of Swedish investment into Italy and called for a further intensification of trade between Italy and Sweden.
Both Ministers stressed the importance of strengthening the EU’s competitiveness and efficiency, also by investing in renewable energy to ensure Europe’s energy independence.
Ministers Tajani and Busch finally agreed to maintain close coordination with the common goal of preserving the solidity of transatlantic relations and avoiding escalation logics in the dialogue between partners in the trade sector.
