Minister Tajani to welcome the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Parolin, at the Farnesina and launch a solidarity initiative to open the Italian Foreign Ministry’s canteen to people in need

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will tomorrow receive the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, at the Farnesina. Cardinal Parolin will visit the Ministry’s Crisis Unit and celebrate Mass for the Ministry’s staff, as a sign of the excellent cooperation between Italy and the Holy See.

Also tomorrow, for the first time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ canteen will open its doors to a group of people in need. On this occasion, Minister Tajani will unveil a plaque dedicated to Sister Paola D’Auria, in memory of the late nun’s genuine charity and her tireless efforts in providing comfort to many people in need.

The initiative, strongly supported by Minister Tajani, is part of a broader series of “diplomacy of solidarity” activities promoted by the Italian Foreign Ministry, which also include the collection of essential goods.
