Today the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will have some meetings dedicated to Ukraine. During the morning, the Minister will participate in London in the “Weimar+” format Ministerial meeting (France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, the United Kingdom and the EU) to take stock of the diplomatic efforts underway to reach a ceasefire and an agreement for a just peace, between Russia and Ukraine, as well as the recovery priorities and prospects for the future of Ukraine, including its path to accession to the European Union.
In the afternoon, Minister Tajani will travel to Verona to chair the fourth preparatory event dedicated to the “territorial dimension” in view of the Ukraine Recovery Conference, scheduled in Rome on 10-11 July. Over 450 local administrators, government representatives, as well as Italian, Ukrainian and international companies will be present in the Venetian city to help rebuild Ukraine’s regional and local democratic system.
