Deputy Minister Cirielli receives Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Marek Prawda

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Edmondo Cirielli, today received in Rome the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Marek Prawda, for a comprehensive discussion on the bilateral partnership.

The meeting provided an opportunity to review the main crisis scenarios, from the ongoing conflict in Ukraine to the upcoming elections in Moldova, as well as the security relations between Europe and the United States. Several important European issues, including migration and expansion, were also addressed. The meeting further offered a valuable opportunity to explore the numerous prospects for economic and commercial cooperation at a bilateral level, with particular attention to the defence sector.

“Poland is an allied country and a key partner for Italy, with whom we wish to further deepen the opportunities for cooperation in every field. The delicate international context demands an increased effort from everyone to coordinate on major international and European issues in the primary interest of our citizens and our businesses,” commented the Deputy Minister at the conclusion of the meeting.
