Italy’s commitment to supporting the population of the Gaza Strip continues, including through cooperation with the FAO under the Food for Gaza programme launched by Minister Tajani in 2024.
Between Monday 25 and Tuesday 26 August, 60 tonnes of high-nutritional-value animal feed entered the Strip. The feed is currently being packaged in Gaza, while yesterday the first 400 sacks were distributed at the FAO centre in Deir El Balah.
The first distribution cycle foresees the provision of two sacks (100 kg) to each shepherd with at least one head of livestock. The goal is to reach 200 verified beneficiaries.
In the coming days, the delivery of 3,500 veterinary kits for animal care is also expected.
