The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Edmondo Cirielli, addressed today, 19 December, the institutional session of the AICS Directors’ Days (Italian Agency for Development Cooperation), devoted to “The challenges of Italian Development Cooperation, between the Mattei Plan and partnerships”.
In his remarks, Cirielli reiterated the central role of the Mattei Plan as a strategic reference framework for Italian Development Cooperation in a complex international context, recalling the strategic priorities of the Mediterranean and the Sahel.
Finally, Cirielli underlined the importance of the Agency in the implementation of the 2025 system-wide missions and its role in shaping the 2026 programming.
