Tajani opens Italy–Principality of Monaco Business Forum with over 200 companies in attendance

Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani opened today, via video link, the Italy–Principality of Monaco Business Forum alongside Prince Albert II of Monaco, who was present in Monte Carlo together with the Italian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs Maria Tripodi and the Minister of Finance and Economy of the Principality.

In his remarks, the Minister highlighted the strength of relations between Italy and the Monaco, characterised by a high level of economic integration. He also underlined the efforts undertaken to promote Italian exports, which reached EUR 643 billion in 2025, marking an increase of 3.3%.

Undersecretary Maria Tripodi noted that Monaco represents an outstanding international showcase, capable of projecting an image of excellence, innovation and competitiveness worldwide—an image to which approximately 2,500 companies linked to Italian citizens operating in the Principality contribute.

The Forum brought together more than 200 Italian and Monegasque companies and featured panel discussions devoted to key sectors of economic cooperation, including interior architecture, jewellery and fashion, yachting, hospitality and restaurants, as well as the financial sector. Through an extensive programme of B2B meetings, the initiative also aims to foster new opportunities for collaboration, particularly in the luxury, tourism, yachting and financial services sectors.
