A double concert by the Italian musician Eleonora Strino and her group “Eleonora Strino Trio” (Aldo Capasso on double bass and Ruben Ludo Bellavia on drums) was held on the occasion of International Jazz Day, as part of the agreement in force between the Italian Cultural Institute in Algiers and the Agence Algérienne pour le Rayonnement Culturel (AARC) for the events of the year 2024. The first event was held on 7 May in Algiers at the Ibn Zaydoun Hall, and the second on 8 May in Oran at the Abdelkader Alloula regional theatre.
Eleonora Strino is recognized by critics as one of the most promising young talents on the international jazz scene. In March 2023, her book ‘Bebop Scales for Jazz Guitar’ was published worldwide. In May 2023, her first album as a bandleader was released, recorded live in Berlin in November 2021, alongside Greg Cohen on double bass and Joey Baron on drums. She is a permanent member of Dado Moroni’s quartet, produced by Auditorium Rai.
