As part of the 2024 Internationale Tanzmesse NRW in Düsseldorf, the Italian Cultural Institute of Cologne, in collaboration with the MiC – General Direction for the Performing Arts and the NID New Italian Dance Platform, supported the presentation of Giorgia Ohanesian Nardin‘s Open Studio “ANAHIT” at the Tanzhaus NRW | Studio 3.

Anahit is the Armenian goddess of fertility and healing, wisdom and water. “ANAHIT” represents the relationship between sediments and residues, geographies inscribed in the body, with vibration as method. With ANAHIT, Giorgia Ohanesian Nardin creates a solo, a constellation, a format that oscillates between language, movement and soundscape. The result is a unique and immersive scenario.

Giorgia Ohanesian Nardin is an Italian artist of Armenian descent, working in the contexts of dance and live performance. Trained in dance, her work manifests itself in movement, video, text, choreography, sound, gatherings and deals with the relationship between dance, divination and writing. She started her artistic practice in 2010 in collaboration with Marco D’Agostin and Francesca Foscarini, with whom she founded the Cultural Association VAN.
