The Italian Cultural Institute of Tokyo saw an excellent turnout for the screening of Do You See Me? (Scusate se esisto!), directed by Riccardo Milani and starring Paola Cortellesi and Raoul Bova. The event, organised to mark the Japanese cinema release of There’s Still Tomorrow (C’è ancora domani), Paola Cortellesi’s directorial debut, was met with great public success.

The audience followed the comedy with keen interest, thoroughly entertained and engaged from start to finish. The story of Serena Bruno, a brilliant architect navigating the challenges of the Italian job market, sparked both laughter and reflection, reaffirming the film’s ability to blend comedy with social themes.

The event is part of the Institute’s ongoing efforts to promote Italian cinema in Japan, culminating in the Italian Film Festival, set to take place in the first week of May. Now in its 25th edition, the festival remains a key celebration of Italian filmmaking.
