The Italian Cultural Institute of Buenos Aires presented the writer Erri De Luca as a special guest of the “Giorno d’Italia” at the 49th Buenos Aires International Book Fair, one of Latin America’s most important cultural events.

The event, titled “The Experimental Age”—named after his latest book—was held in the Victoria Ocampo Hall and attracted a large and deeply engaged audience. In direct dialogue with Argentine readers, the author captivated the audience with his depth of thought, narrative clarity, and ability to provoke reflection on existential and social themes.

The book signing took place at the Italian Cultural Institute’s stand and saw a great turnout, confirming the strong bond between the Argentine public and Italian culture. Many readers expressed their affection and admiration for De Luca’s work in an atmosphere of genuine appreciation.

Erri De Luca is a storyteller, poet, and translator. He has created a rich and personal body of work, weaving together biographical events, civic engagement, and a poetic prose style capable of illuminating even the most complex topics.

Alongside his literary career, De Luca is an avid mountaineer and has often linked this passion with his writing. In his most recent book, The Experimental Age, he guides the reader through a journey of discovery and re-interpretation of the passing of time, observing with a clear gaze the possibilities and energies of a season of life still to be fully understood.
