The Italian Cultural Institute of Santiago celebrated the Italian Design Day 2025 in two stages, with events centred around the presence of ADI Ambassador, architect Raffaella Mangiarotti, and the exhibition of 87 posters dedicated to designers entitled “Photographs of a Career. A tribute from Italian photography to the masters of the Compasso d’Oro”, curated by ADI.
The Italian expert headlined a conference at the Institute, where she captivated the audience by sharing the inspirational principles behind her creations, in a lively dialogue with Chilean designer and academic Hernán Garfias. The opening of the exhibition, held in continuity with the conference, attracted over a hundred visitors. The photographic display, accompanied by explanatory captions, is open to the public until 15 May.
The Interdesign exhibition hall provided an exclusive setting for the closing of the IDD, hosting part of the ADI exhibition, which was complemented by iconic objects designed by recipients of the Compasso d’Oro Lifetime Achievement Award. A dedicated conference space was also arranged for a further talk by Architect Mangiarotti, once again moderated by Chilean expert Garfias.
