Sparkle, in collaboration with Liberty Networks, a leading provider of infrastructure and business connectivity in Latin America and the Caribbean, and Gold Data, a technology company focused on telecommunications infrastructure that provides international connectivity in the Caribbean and Latin America, will participate in the construction and marketing of the new MANTA submarine system. This will be the first international submarine cable in the Gulf of Mexico connecting Mexico and the United States with Central and Latin America. The system will span approximately 5,600 km and is designed to support a minimum of 20 TB per fibre pair. With new access points in Veracruz, Mexico, and in Northwest Florida (where Apalachee tribe lives), MANTA aims to enhance traffic flow in the region by providing new low-latency routes between major digital hubs in Mexico City, Querétaro, Bogotá, and Panama City, and the United States.
