The Area Meeting of the Italian Chambers of Commerce operating in Asia and Oceania was held in Melbourne on February 27 and 28.

The event, organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Melbourne, chaired by President Adrian Lo Giudice and operationally led by General Secretary Veronica Misciattelli, was held with the patronage and support of the Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne and saw the involvement of the Government of the Australian State of Victoria, a key partner in bilateral economic relations between Italy and Australia.

The Italian Ambassador to Australia, Nicola Lener, stated: “Coordination between economic diplomacy, the Chambers of Commerce, and companies is essential to strengthen long-term relations and enhance the contribution of Made in Italy products in a highly innovative and dynamic area.”

The Meeting Area is part of the activities of Assocamerestero, the network that coordinates 86 Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad in 63 countries.

President Mario Pozza and Secretary General Domenico Mauriello were present at the event, thus reaffirming the centrality of the Asia-Pacific region in the coordination and promotion strategies of the Italian System.
