The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Benedetto Della Vedova, is in Dubai to open the Italy Pavilion at Expo2020, together with the Commissioner General Paolo Glisenti and the Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Nicola Lener. Along with the Pavilion’s institutional partners, the ceremony will be attended by the senior management of the leading Italian industrial groups that have contributed as sponsors and technical partners to Italy’s participation in the Expo and to the construction of the national Pavilion.
Before the inauguration ceremony the Undersecretary will have meetings with the Minister for Tolerance and Coexistence and Commissioner General of Expo2020 Dubai, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Akl Nahyan, and with the Undersecretary for Culture and Youth, Mubarak Al Nakhi. He will also have discussions with the United States Commissioner General, Bob Clark, and the Deputy Commissioner General, Matthew Asada. Deputy Minister Della Vedova will also be attending the signing ceremony of the cooperation protocol between the Italy Pavilion and San Marino, together with Federico Pedini Amati, the Secretary of State for Tourism of San Marino. Finally, the Undersecretary will be meeting members of the Italian community residing in Dubai.
