Minister of Justice, Marta Cartabia, travelled to Lisbon to hold a bilateral meeting with her Portuguese counterpart, Francisca Van Dunem. The talks focused on strengthening the collaboration between the two Countries in the field of Justice and on their respective prison systems.
During her visit, Minister Cartabia also met with the President of the Constitutional Court, João Pedro Caupers, and the Director-General of Reintegration and Prison Services, Rómulo Mateus. Cartabia, together with the judge of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany, Susanne Baer, then participated in a debate organized by the Gulbenkian Foundation on “the Future of Justice.”
