On the instructions of the Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has allocated EUR 705 million to the areas of Emilia Romagna affected by the floods through ICE, SACE and SIMEST.

On the occasion of his visit to the areas hit by the floods, the Minister illustrated in detail the instruments that have been put in place to support companies in the area, which include three interventions on the subsidised finance front: an allocation of EUR 300 million in non-repayable funds for the provision of relief to exporting companies in the flooded areas; a dedicated portion of the resources already available on the 394/81 Fund for a total of EUR 400 million earmarked for the granting of loans at subsidised rates with 10% non-repayable fund shares; and the suspension for a period of 12 months of payments on outstanding loans under the 394 Fund. The remaining funds are earmarked for export support and foreign market penetration.

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has activated an email address to collect requests from exporting companies: export.emergenza2023@esteri.it
