Today, Friday 31 October, a Blood Donation Day took place in the Piazzale della Farnesina, organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) in collaboration with the Italian Red Cross Committee of Municipio XV, Rome, which provided a dedicated collection point with a mobile blood donation unit.
The initiative saw broad participation from Ministry staff, resulting in the collection of 28 units of blood, reflecting a tangible commitment to supporting others through blood donation. As is well known, donors also benefit from a free health check.
Following a similar initiative held last April, this was the second blood collection organised this year, strongly backed by MAECI leadership as part of an ongoing partnership with the Red Cross.
