The ASEAN AWARENESS FORUM will be held at the foreign ministry in Rome on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 March 2012.
Organised by the MFA in collaboration with Confindustria, the event is intended to offer Italian businesses, associations and bodies engaged in the internationalization of our productive system, a complete and thorough picture of business conditions and investment and cooperation possibilities in the countries of the ASEAN region, a potential market of 600 million people.
The forum will be opened by Minister for Foreign Affairs Giulio Terzi and Secretary General of ASEAN Surin Pitsuwan.
The institutional session will be open to the press and will begin at 9:30 on Thursday 22 March with speeches by Minister Giulio Terzi, ASEAN S-G Surin Pitsuwam, ASEAN duty President Sok Siphana and Vice-President of the European Commission Antonio Tajani.
Journalists and camera operators interested in covering the event are asked to apply for accreditation by completing the interactive form available at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp to which all required documentation can be attached in digital format.
If in exceptional cases it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications in writing on company letterhead and signed by the director of the organisation concerned—indicating name, surname, date and place of birth, number of a valid ID document and qualification—should be sent by fax to the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (tel. 063691.3432 fax 06.3691.2122).
Accredited members of the press will be admitted at the main entrance to Ministry of Foreign Affairs, right side (Sala Ospiti), according to the following schedule:
– camera persons: from 8:30 to 9:00 (for opening round table)
– journalists: from 8:45 to 9:15
