France, Germany, Spain and Italy will hold a quadrilateral summit on Friday 22 June 2012 at Villa Madama in Rome. Participants will be President of the French Republic François Hollande, Germany Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel, President of the Spanish Government Mariano Rajoy and Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti.
A press conference will be held at the summit’s conclusion at approximately 16:00.
Journalists and camera operators interested in covering the event are asked to apply for accreditation no later than 17:00 on Thursday 21 June by completing the interactive form available at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp to which all required documentation can be attached in digital format.
If in exceptional cases it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications in writing on company letterhead and signed by the director of the organisation concerned—indicating name, surname, date and place of birth, number of a valid ID document and qualification—should be sent by fax to the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (tel. 063691.3432 fax 06.3691.2122).
Accreditation badges will be distributed in person on 22 June at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – rear entrance in Via Macchia della Farnesina – according to the following timetable:
– photographers and television crews 12:00 (arrivals and family photo);
– journalists starting at 14:00 (press conference).
The accreditation desk will close at 15:30.
Since Villa Madama is closed to private vehicles, a shuttle service will be running between the ministry and the villa from 12:15 to the end of the event.
Television vehicles will be admitted to the Villa starting at 16:00 on Thursday 21 June: requests for clearance stating the personal data of accompanying staff and description and license plate number of the vehicle must be received by fax at 06 6779.5441 no later than 10:00 on the same day.
