On Wednesday 4 July 2012 an Italo-German Intergovernmental Summit chaired by Premier Mario Monti and German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel will be held at Villa Madama.
A final press conference will be held at approximately 16:30.
Journalists and camera operators interested in covering the event are asked to apply for accreditation no later than 16:00 on Tuesday 3 July by completing the interactive form available at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp to which all required documentation can be attached in digital format.
If in exceptional cases it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications in writing on company letterhead and signed by the director of the organisation concerned—indicating name, surname, date and place of birth, number of a valid ID document and qualification—should be sent by fax to the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (tel. 063691.3432 fax 06.3691.2122) no later than 16:00 on Tuesday 3 July.
Accreditation badges will be distributed in person at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – the rear entrance in Via Macchia della Farnesina – according to the following schedule:
– Photographers and TV crews starting at 14:00 (to cover arrivals and family photo);
– Journalists starting at 15:00 (for the press conference).
Photographic and television coverage inside Villa Madama will be handled by a limited pool.
The accreditation desk will close at 16:00.
Since Villa Madama is closed to private vehicles, a shuttle service will be running between the ministry and the villa from 14:15 to the end of the event.
Television vehicles will be admitted to the Villa on Tuesday 3 July between 16:30 and 17:30 on Thursday 21 June: requests for clearance stating the personal data of accompanying staff and description and license plate number of the vehicle must be received by fax at 06 6779.5441 no later than 10:00 on 3 July.
