For the celebration of 80 years of diplomatic relations between Rome and Riyadh, a meeting of the Italo-Saudi Forum has been arranged for Thursday 3 October, co-chaired by Minister for Foreign Affairs Emma Bonino and her Saudi colleague HRH Prince Saud Al-Faisal Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud. The forum events will include the official twinning of the Saudi Foreign Ministry’s Research Institute and the Farnesina/International Affairs Institute (IAI).
The day’s agenda includes the following press moments:
· Arrival of the two ministers (11:30)
· Presentation of the twinning of the Saudi Foreign Ministry’s Research Institute and the Farnesina/International Affairs Institute
· Speeches by the two ministers (approx.12:10)
· Joint press conference with Minister Bonino and Prince Saud Al Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (approx. 13:15).
Journalists and camera operators interested in covering the event are asked to apply for specific accreditation no later than 18:00 on Wednesday 2 October, using the online accreditation system now available at the “Journalists Area” on the home page of the foreign ministry’s website www.esteri.it. If in exceptional cases it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications in writing on company letterhead and signed by the director of the organisation concerned—indicating name, surname, date and place of birth, number of a valid ID document and qualification—should be sent by fax to the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (tel. 063691.3432 fax 06.3691.2122).
