On Friday 15 November, on Minister Emma Bonino’s instructions, Deputy Minister Lapo Pistelli will chair a meeting on the Philippines emergency at the MFA’s Directorate General of Development Cooperation. Participants will include all the main operators in the humanitarian emergency sector to discuss how to facilitate coordination and ensure more efficient emergency aid to the Philippine population struggling in the wake of typhoon Haiyan.
Deputy Minister Pistelli will hold a press conference at the end of the meeting to outline the aid earmarked by the Italian Cooperation and discuss the results of the meeting.
