ACCREDIATATION NOTICE Recall – CORRECTION “Women, Peace and Security” (Farnesina, 25 November 2014)

On 25 November at 15:00, in coincidence with the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the Farnesina will host a round table discussion entitled “Women, Peace and Security – Minimum standards, harmonised guidelines and common policies for the European Agenda”. The event will include the presentation of the Italian National Action Plan 2014/2015 implementing the UNSCR 1325 (2000). The challenges and prospects within the national context will be examined and a general picture of the Italian experience in areas of conflict and post-conflict will be traced.


The meeting will open with a greeting sent by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini. Participants will include Vice President of the Senate Valeria Fedeli, Secretary-General of MAECI, Ambassador Michele Valensise, the Permanent Representative to NATO Maria Angela Zappia Caillaux, the NATO Secretary-General’s Special Representative on women, peace and security Marriet Schuurman and representatives of several NGOs, embassies of EU countries and members of the Inter-ministerial Committee on Human Rights (CIDU).


Online accreditation system. Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event should:


– complete the interactive form available athttp://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp


– attach all required documentation (if not already submitted) to the form, in digital format


Required documentation:


– a letter from your media organisation


– for foreign journalists in Italy: a note verbale issued by the Embassy in Rome of your media organisation’s country.


If you are unable to complete the online accreditation procedure, please send your applicationby fax, on your media organisation’s letterhead, to the Foreign Ministry’s Press and Institutional Communication Service (tel. 06/3691.3432-8573-8210).


Accredited members of the press will be admitted at the main entrance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, right side, at 14:30.
