ACCREDITATION NOTICE – Conference “Italy and the European Construction: from the Milan European Council (June 1985) to the Single European Act” (Villa Madama, 9 June)

The conference “Italy and the European Construction: from the Milan European Council (June 1985) to the Single European Act” will take place at Villa Madama in Rome on Tuesday 9 June 2015. The meeting has been organised by the Craxi Foundation, with the patronage of the European Parliament, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in coincidence with the 30th anniversary of the Milan European Council.

Sessions will depart from a historical-political analysis of those events and their impact on our times, and conclude with a roundtable discussion introduced by Foundation president Stefania Craxi on the theme “What Europe for the future”. Participants will include Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni, President of the Senate Foreign Affairs and Emigration Commission Pier Ferdinando Casini, Franco Frattini and Romano Prodi.  

            Online accreditation system. Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event should:

– complete the interactive form available at http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp

– attach all required documentation (if not already submitted) to the form, in digital format

Required documentation:

– a letter from your media organisation

– for foreign journalists in Italy: a note verbale issued by the Embassy in Rome of your media organisation’s country.

If you are unable to complete the online accreditation procedure, please send your application by fax, on your media organisation’s letterhead, to the Foreign Ministry’s Press and Institutional Communication Service (tel. 06/3691.3432-8573-8210).

Accreditation badges will be distributed in person at the Farnesina, rear entrance in Via Macchia della Farnesina, from 15:15 to 16:15.

Since Villa Madama is closed to private vehicles, a shuttle service will operate between the Farnesina and Villa Madama from 15:15 to the end of the event.
