ACCREDITATION NOTICE: 10th edition of the “East Forum” (UniCredit – east) – Rome, 16 July 2015

The 10th edition of the East Forum, entitled “The Global (Dis)order – Can Trade Agreements Revive Growth?”, will take place in Rome at 9.00 on Thursday 16 July 2015. The event is organised by UniCredit and the “East” geopolitical magazine.

Proceedings will be opened by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Paolo Gentiloni, after an opening address by the President of UniCredit, Giuseppe Vita.

This year’s Forum will focus on international trade agreements and their impact on the global order in terms of growth. A key topic will be the opportunities opened up by the “Trans-Pacific Partnership” and the “Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership” in terms of redefining governance, economic relations and geopolitical equilibria at the global level.

Discussions will be divided into 3 panels moderated by the director of the “eastonline” website, Fabrizio Goria. Guests will include Enrico Letta, former prime minister of Italy; Carlo Calenda, Deputy Minister for Economic Development; Pascal Lamy, President Emeritus of the “Jacques Delors Institute”; Ulrich Grillo, President of the Federation of German Industries; and Federico Ghizzoni, Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit. Other attendees include key members of the international economic and institutional communities, who will have the opportunity to speak in open discussion.
