The “First Week of Italian Cuisine in the World” (Nov. 21-27, 2016), will be presented to the Press on Wednesday Oct. 26, at 11 a.m., at Villa Madama.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Paolo Gentiloni, and the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies, Maurizio Martina, will open the event. Minister Martina will also deliver a presentation, to be followed by the Deputy-Minister for Economic Development, Ivan Scalfarotto, the President of the Conferenza delle Regioni e delle Province Autonome, Stefano Bonaccini, and the Director General of Italian TV – RAI, Antonio Campo Dall’Orto. The event will feature also top chefs and wine masters.
The ‘Week’, occurring Nov. 21-27, is due to become a yearly event and will take place abroad, focusing on Italian culinary traditions. The aim is to promote the Italian agri-food sector and first-quality Italian cooking traditions across the world.
Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event are requested to apply for online accreditation by filling the interactive form at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp attaching thereto, unless already provided, the information requested in digital format (letter from the media organisation and, for representatives of foreign media, also a Note Verbal released by the Embassy in Rome of the media organisation’s Country). If it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications should be sent by email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210). Accreditation badges must be collected in person at the Farnesina (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation), accessing it from the rear entrance on Via della Macchia della Farnesina, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Villa Madama will be closed to private traffic and, therefore, a shuttle bus service will take accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews from the Farnesina to Villa Madama and return. The shuttle service will start running at 9:45 a.m. and stop after the end of the event.
