On Wednesday 26 October at 11:00 a.m, Villa Madama will host the presentation to the press of the “First Week of Italian Cuisine in the World” ( 21-27 November, 2016).
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Paolo Gentiloni, and the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies, Maurizio Martina, will open the event. They will be followed by the Deputy-Minister for Economic Development, Ivan Scalfarotto, the President of the Conferenza delle Regioni e delle Province Autonome, Stefano Bonaccini, and the Director General of RAI, Italy’s public brodacaster, Antonio Campo Dall’Orto. The event will also feature top ‘starred’ chefs and wine masters.The ‘Week’, from 21-27 November, is to become an annual event to promote Italian culinary traditions abroad including its agri-food sector and first-quality Italian cooking traditions throughout the world.Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event are requested to apply for online accreditation by filling in the interactive form at http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp.
They should include, unless already provided, the information requested in digital format (letter from the media organisation and, for representatives of foreign media, a Note Verbal released by the embassy in Rome of the media organisation’s country). If it is not possible to apply online, applications should be sent by email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 3432-8573-8210).Accreditation badges must be collected in person at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, via the rear entrance on Via della Macchia della Farnesina, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.Villa Madama will be closed to private traffic, so a shuttle bus service will take accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews from the Farnesina to Villa Madama and also return. The shuttle will begin at 9:45 a.m. and run until the end of the event.
