The Italy-Georgia Business Forum will take place at the Farnesina on Wednesday, 8 March 2017 at 10:00 a.m. The Forum is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, (MAECI), the Italian Trade Agency, (ICE), and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
“The Business Forum – said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano – is designed to illustrate to Italian companies the prospects of cooperation and investments in the manufacturing, infrastructure and tourism sectors.”
Minister Alfano and Georgia’s Prime Minister, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, will attend the opening session, at the end of which there will be the signing of two bilateral MOUs, between the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and the Italian Chamber of Commerce (UnionCamere) and between SACE S.p.A. and JSC Partnership Fund of Georgia, respectively.
At the end of the MOU signing ceremony, Alfano and Kvirikashvili will leave the Conference Hall to hold a bilateral meeting, while the Business Forum will continue in the afternoon with B2B meetings between Italian and Georgian enterprises.
The Business Forum, gathering 200 Italian and 60 Georgian companies, was organised in view of the visit to Italy by Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, who heads a large Georgian high-level institutional and entrepreneurial delegation which also includes the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Kakha Kaladze, the Foreign Minister, Mikheil Janelidze, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Giorgi Gakharia, the Minister for Regional Development and Infrastructure, Zurab Alavidze, the Minister of Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili, and the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Keti Bochorishvili.
