ACCREDITATION NOTICE: Arrival and Departure of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump (Fiumicino Airport, 23-24 may, 2017)

On Tuesday 23 May, 2017, the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, will arrive at Rome Fiumicino Airport ‘Leonardo da Vinci’, from which he will depart on  24 May, 2017. Photographers and TV crews interested in following the arrival and/or departure of the US President are requested to apply for accreditation by filling the interactive form at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp, attaching thereto, unless already provided, the information requested in digital format (letter from the media organisation and, for representatives of foreign media, also a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country) no later than 7:00 a.m. on Monday, 22 May, 2017.  
If it is not possible to complete the online accreditation procedure, applications should be sent by email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (Tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210), attaching thereto the letter of his/her media organisation (or press card for free-lancers) and, for members of the foreign press, a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country.
Accredited photographers and TV crews interested in following the arrival will be able to access the Rome Fiumicino airport directly, Area Cargo City (Piazzale Caduti di Bosnia) from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. on 23 May. All accreditation procedures ( ID control and deposit and badge collection) will take place at the area’s meeting point (Chef Express).

To apply for a permit to position satellite trucks, the licence plate number and truck model must be emailed along with the personal data of crew members to the following address accreditamentostampa@esteri.it

The satellite trucks will be able to access the Rome Fiumicino airport,  Area Cargo City (Piazzale Caduti di Bosnia) from 1:00 pm until 1:45 on 23 May.

Photographers and TV crews interested in following the  departure of the US President will be able to access the Rome Fiumicino airport directly, Area Cargo City (Piazzale Caduti di Bosnia) from 9:45 a.m. until 11:15 a.m on 24 May and proceed to the area’s meeting point (Chef Express) for accreditation procedures.

Photographers and TV crews filing their applications for accreditation are kindly requested to specify whether they will be following the arrival and/or departure of President Trump.
