On Friday, 10 November at 4:00 p.m., the “Second Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World” (20-26, November 2017) will be presented to the Press at Villa Madama.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, and the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies, Maurizio Martina, will open the event.
Following the introductory remarks, contributions will be delivered by the Undersecretary of State for Cultural Heritage, Activities and Tourism, Dorina Bianchi, the President of the Italian Trade Agency, ICE, Michele Scannavini, and the President of Federalimentare, Luigi Pio Scordamaglia.
The event is organized into two sessions, namely:
. the first session, focused on Italy’s wine-making sector and its promotion abroad, will be opened by the Director General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) Vincenzo De Luca;
. the second session will be dedicated to the protection of the Italian agri-food production and the wealth of the country’s territory.
World acclaimed chefs and sommeliers will attend the event.
The Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World is in its second edition, and scheduled to take place from 20 to 26 November, 2017. It is an annual event dedicated to Italy’s culinary tradition with a view to promoting the country’s agri-food and wine-making industries globally as a distinctive feature of the Italian identity.

– by filling the interactive form at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp, attaching thereto, unless already provided, the information requested in digital format (letter from the media organisation and, for representatives of foreign media, also a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country).
– by sending an email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (Tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210), attaching thereto the letter of his/her media organisation (or press card) and, for members of the foreign press, a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country.
Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews can collect their accreditation badges in person at the rear entrance of the Ministry on Via della Macchia della Farnesina, from 2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Villa Madama is closed to private traffic. Therefore, a shuttle bus service will run to and from Via della Macchia della Farnesina and Villa Madama for all accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews. The shuttle service will start running from 2:45 p.m. till the end of the event.
