Presentation to the press of the 3rd Forum Rome MED – Mediterranean Dialogues

On Wednesday, 22 November, at 10:00 a.m., the Farnesina will host the presentation to the press of the 3rd Forum MED – Mediterranean Dialogues, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and by ISPI (Institute for International Political Studies). The press conference will be jointly held by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, and by the Vice President and Director of ISPI, Paolo Magri, who will illustrate the aims of the Forum and the prestigious participants attending it.

“The Mediterranean only represents 1% of the world’s surface but a significant portion of global security is at play on this Sea. And Italy, which is located at the centre, intends to protect the reciprocal identities and influences that, over the millennia, have shaped a culture of dialogue and respect in the Mediterranean,” affirmed Minister Alfano.

From 30 November to 2 December, Rome will host the 3rd Forum MED – Mediterranean Dialogues, promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and by ISPI. The attendance by more than 400 international leaders, including Heads of State, Prime Ministers, ministers and people from the world of finance and business from approximately 50 Countries, bears witness to the amount of international support received by this project.
