On 21 and 22 December, the Farnesina will host the annual “Conference of the Directors of Italian Cultural Institutes in the World”.
The conference sessions on 22 December are open to the press.
A Family Photo, opened to photographers and TV crews, is scheduled at 9:15 a.m.
The institutional session will open at 9:30 a.m. with contributions by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, the Minister of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, Dario Franceschini, the Minister of Education, University and Research, Valeria Fedeli and the president of the Dante Alighieri Society, Andrea Riccardi. The session will be moderated by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mario Giro.
The conference will continue with a plenary session entitled “In Italy’s Pipeline: projects, processes, ideas”, moderated by the Director General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation, Vincenzo De Luca. During this session, experts in the field of culture, institutional partners in the area of cultural promotion and directors of Italian Cultural Institutes will take the floor in turns. Discussants will include Francesco Rutelli, president of ANICA and Paolo Baratta, president of the Biennale of Venice.
The Conference will close at 1:45 p.m. with remarks by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Elisabetta Belloni.
