On 8 February 2018, at 3:00 p.m., the Farnesina will host the Prize Awarding Ceremony to the winning teams of the international competition “BeamLine for schools – BL4S”, at the presence of the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Benedetto Della Vedova.
The event will be moderated by the Principal Director for Innovation and Research, Fabrizio Nicoletti, and will be attended by the Director General of CERN, Fabiola Gianotti, the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Education, University and Research, Gabriele Toccafondi, and the President of the National Institute for Nuclear Physics, Fernando Ferroni.
Every year, the contest offers secondary school students around the world the possibility of performing their own scientific experiment at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).
To date, Italy is the only Country that has won the BL4S twice.

Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews may collect their accreditation badges in person from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, main entrance – left-hand side – from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m.
