PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTICE – Second edition of the “Giornata del Design Italiano nel Mondo – Italian Design Day“ (Farnesina, 13 February 2018)

On Tuesday, 13 February, at 11:00 a.m., the Farnesina will host the presentation of the Second Italian Design Day in the World, organised by the Directorate General for Economic and Cultural Promotion and Innovation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) in partnership with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MiBACT), the Triennale di Milano, the ICE Agency, FederlegnoArredo, the Salone del Mobile, the Association for Industrial Design (ADI) and the Compasso d’oro Foundation. The project, now at its second edition, is part of the integrated promotion strategy launched by the Foreign Ministry through the “Italian Way of Life” campaign.  

The event will be attended by the press and the Diplomatic Corps accredited in Italy and will open with remarks by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Elisabetta Belloni, who will be followed by Antimo Cesaro, Undersecretary of State at the MiBACT, Michele Scannavini, the President of ICE-Agency, Andrea Cancellato, the Director General of the Fondazione la Triennale di Milano, Emanuele Orsini, the President of FederlegnoArredo, Paolo Glisenti, the Commissioner General for Italy at EXPO 2020 Dubai, Umberto Cabini, the President of the Foundation of the Association for Industrial Design, Luisa Bocchietto, the President of the World Design Organization, and Elena Salmistraro and Stefano Follesa, the “Ambassadors” of Italian design in the world.  

The debate will be moderated by the Director General for Economic and Cultural Promotion and Innovation at the MAECI, Vincenzo De Luca.

Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event are requested to apply for accreditation in one of the following two ways:

–    by filling the interactive form and clicking on the event concerned at the link http://mae.accreditationsystem.info/ITA/Indice.asp, attaching thereto, unless already provided, the documentation requested in digital format (letter from the media organisation and, for representatives of foreign media, also a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country).   

–   by sending an email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (Tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210), attaching thereto the letter of his/her media organisation (or press card for freelance reporters) and, for members of the foreign press, a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country.

Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews may enter the Ministry from the main entrance – left-hand side – from 10:30 a.m.
