UPDATE on Press Press Accreditation Notice: Event celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Fulbright Commission (Farnesina, 14 June, 2018)

On Thursday, 14 June, 2018 at 9:45 a.m., the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will host an event to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Fulbright Commission. 
 
The meeting will remain open to the press until 12:45 p.m.. A family photo is scheduled to take place before the start of the event
 
The event will be organized into two sessions, of which the first will be institutional and include introductory remarks by Enzo Moavero Milanesi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Vincenzo De Luca, Director General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation, Lewis M. Eisenberg, Ambassador of the United States to Italy, Armando Varricchio,  Ambassador of Italy to the United States of America, Anita McBride, Fulbright Scholarship Board, and Paola Sartorio, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission. 
 
Following the opening remarks, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Enzo Moavero Milanesi, and Ambassador Lewis M. Eisenberg will assign to recipients the Fulbright Commission’s 70th Anniversary Prize . 
 
The event’s second session will focus on the 70-year-long cultural relations between Italy and the U.S., promoting the Italian language and culture in the United States of America and current international issues. 
 
Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event are kindly requested to apply for accreditation by sending an email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it, (tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210), attaching thereto the letter of his/her media organization (or press card) and, for members of the foreign press, a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organization’s Country. 
 
Accredited journalists,photographers and TV crews may collect their accreditation badges in person from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, main entrance – left-hand side – from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m.
